Honor 8X Now Available In Europe, Coming To The US Soon

In Short:Honor has just announced that the Honor 8X is available in parts of Europe, while the company also confirmed that the phone is coming to the UK and the US soon. The Honor 8X is now available in France, Italy, and Spain, though people from the EU can order phones from either of those three domains, so it’s available to the most of Europe, actually. Having said that, only a 4GB RAM variant is available in Europe at the moment, though both 64GB and 128GB storage variants can be purchased. A variant of the phone with 64GB of storage is priced at €249.90 (for France and Spain, it costs 269.90 in Italy), while you’ll have to part with €299.90 if you’d like to get the 128GB model (France, Spain & Italy). The device will pop up on Honor Germany soon as well, and the same goes for Honor UK. The Honor 8X is coming to the US as well, Honor has confirmed, but we’re still not sure when exactly will that happen, nor how much will it cost.

Background: Honor had introduced the Honor 8X in China last month, while the phone was re-announced for global markets yesterday, but Honor has failed to share specific availability info for the device, until now. The Honor 8X is a direct successor to the Honor 7X, a device which has been extremely successful for the company in both Europe and the US. The device is made out of metal and glass, and despite its rather affordable price tag, it has a lot to offer in both terms of build and specs / performance. The Honor 8X features a huge 6.5-inch fullHD+ display, while its bezels are quite thin, though it does have a really thin ‘chin’ below the display, and it comes with a display notch. The phone is fueled by the Kirin 710 64-bit octa-core processor, while you’ll find 20 and 2-megapixel cameras on its back. A 3,750mAh battery is included in this device as well, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed with EMUI 8.2 skin.

Impact: The Honor 8X improves upon the Honor 7X is basically every way, so if you’re looking or a budget smartphone, the Honor 8X may fit the bill. Honor has trimmed down bezels quite a bit on this phone, enlarged its display compared to the Honor 7X, while its spec sheet is also noticeably more powerful this time around, while its price tag did not increase at all, at least in Europe.
