OUKITEL has just shared more info regarding its new smartphone, the OUKITEL U23. The OUKITEL U23’s design and specs were announced earlier this month, and the company has just shared more info regarding this phone. The OUKITEL U23 will become available for purchase next month, though we still do not know when exactly. In any case, this smartphone will also support wireless charging, which is a relatively new field for OUKITEL. The OUKITEL U23 is made out of metal and glass, and it will support Qi wireless charging, which is more or less a standard wireless charging standard these days. The device will be able to utilize pretty much any Qi wireless charger out there, though OUKITEL will share more info once the phone becomes available.
The OUKITEL U23 features a capacitive fingerprint scanner on its back, along with two vertically-aligned cameras, and an LED flash in-between those two cameras. The phone does include a ‘chin’ below the display, while a display notch is also a part of the offering, though that display notch is not too large. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, and a variant with a gradient back color will be available. The OUKITEL U23 comes with a 6.18-inch fullHD+ (2246 x 1080) display, and it adopts Huaxing LCD technology, and also Panda King glass technology for display protection, says OUKITEL. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P23 64-bit octa-core processor, while it also includes 6GB of RAM. A 3,500mAh battery is included in this package as well, and that battery is not removable.
Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the OUKITEL U23, while you can charge the phone’s battery using a 5V/2A charger which is included in the package. The OUKITEL U23 supports 10W wireless charging, though do keep in mind that a wireless charger will not be included in the box. Having said that, we’re still not sure how much will the OUKITEL U23 cost, but the device is expected to become official in the coming weeks, so everything will be revealed soon. While you’re waiting for the phone to see the light of day, feel free to check out the phone’s very first promo / hands-on video, which is embedded down below.
