OUKITEL has released a new promo video for its WP1 smartphone, this time around, the company has decided to run a benchmarking app underwater. This promo video has a duration of approximately two minutes, and it is embedded down below. In this video, OUKITEL placed the OUKITEL WP1 in a glass bowl filled with water, but the company fired up the AnTuTu test before doing so. The phone scored 84,393 points in the AnTuTu test, which is pretty much expected considering its hardware.
That being said, running an underwater AnTuTu test is not the only test that the company performed in the video. OUKITEL has decided to tie up the OUKITEL WP1 with a rope, and let it dangle inside a fish tank for 30 minutes in order to prove its durability under water. Needless to say, the phone continued on working normally after that. The OUKITEL WP1, for those of you who do not know, is a rugged phone, but it comes with a glass back, interestingly enough. On top of that, this phone also supports wireless charging, which is rather interesting considering this is a rugged smartphone, not many rugged phones support wireless charging. The device features two cameras on the back, below which a fingerprint scanner is located, while the phone’s frame is made out of metal.
The OUKITEL WP1 comes with a rather large 5,000mAh battery, which is not removable, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on this phone. The device features a 5.5-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, while it is fueled by the Helio P23 64-bit octa-core processor. The device sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while you can expand that storage using a microSD card slot (up to 128GB). 13 and 2-megapixel cameras sit on the back of the phone, while a single 5-megapixel camera is included on the device’s front side. The phone includes two SIM card slots, while it also supports facial scanning. Even though both Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, the OUKITEL WP1 is still discounted on GearBest, if you’d like to get it, follow the link down below.
