Ulefone has just announced that its rugged Armor 3T handset has received crossed its crowdfunding goal five times over. To be more precise, the Ulefone Armor 3T raised $109.514 in funding (at the time of writing this article, in percentage, it reached 538-percent of its original goal. It seems like this campaign is now over, and the company said that it is already in the process of shipping, which means that it has started shipping the devices to backers.
The Ulefone Armor 3T, for those of you who do not know, is a rugged smartphone which doubles as a walkie-talkie. Thanks to its large antenna and some software and hardware that the company included in the phone, you can use this phone as a regular walkie-talkie, when you’re done, you simply remove the antenna, and that’s it. The phone is IP68/IP69K certified for water and dust resistance, while it also has a military-grade MIL-STD-810G standard. As far as the design is concerned, the phone looks like the regular Ulefone Armor 3 unit, when the antenna is not attached to it, of course. It is well reinforced from all sides, and it sports a single camera on the back.
The Ulefone Armor 3T features a 5.7-inch fullHD+ display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device is fueled by the Helio P23 64-bit octa-core processor from MediaTek, while a 10,300mAh battery is also included in the package. The phone’s display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection, while a single 21-megapixel sensor from Sony sits on the back of the device. A 13-megapixel camera sits on the front side of the phone, and the device also has a built-in NFC chip. The Ulefone Armor 3 is available from Banggood for $259.99, while we’re still not sure what will be the Ulefone Armor 3T’s retail price tag, but we’ll find out soon, as the device will become available for everyone in the near future, quite probably.
