OnePlus had introduced the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition a couple of days ago, and the phone is now available for purchase, the company has announced. The OnePlus 6T can now be purchased in Western Europe and North America, in Europe, the phone is priced at €699, while it costs $699 and £649 in Europe, and the UK, respectively, and you can purchase it directly from OnePlus. The company also noted that the device will become available in India and China in the near future, but did not share any specific details just yet. Having said that, the OnePlus 6T, as many of you already know, differs from the regular OnePlus 6T variant in terms of looks, even though the build itself remains unchanged. In addition to that, the phone also comes with slightly different internals.
Background: The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, unlike the regular OnePlus variant, sports a different pattern on the back, under the glass, a carbon fiber pattern, which looks really nice through the glass back of the device. Other than that, this phone is identical to the regular model, as it is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, and it sports a 6.41-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display. The device also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 3,700mAh battery. All OnePlus 6T variants are made out of metal and glass, they sport a teardrop notch at the top of the display, and include extremely thin bezels as well. The regular OnePlus 6T comes with either 128GB or 256GB of storage, depending on which variant you choose, while the McLaren Edition variant is available with 256GB of storage only.
Impact: The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is different than the company’s previous special edition phones, as it does not come with identical internals as regular models.
