Ulefone has teased the arrival of the Armor 6 smartphone, and we knew that it was coming… well, the phone is now official. The Armor 6 is the company’s brand new rugged smartphone, and just like its predecessors, this is a mid-range smartphone. The device is both IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certified, which basically makes is water resistant, dust resistant, and also capable of handling drops and what not. The phone is designed in a way to be able to handle drops, as it is protected all around, while the material you’ll notice the most here is metal. The company actually claims that you can submerge it up to 2 hours, 2 meters under the water surface. In addition to that, it can handle drops from up to 1.2 meters without a problem.
The device comes in black and black with red color variants, while it sports two cameras on the back. Below those two cameras, which are vertically-aligned, you will notice an LED flash, and a fingerprint scanner right below it. The phone’s bezels are not too thick, especially considering this is a rugged smartphone, while the device’s physical keys are all located on the right-hand side of the device. The phone features a 6.2-inch fullHD+ (2246 x 1080) display (with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection), 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card). The device is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P60 64-bit octa-core processor, while a 5,000mAh battery is also a part of the package, and it supports 18W fast charging. In addition to that, you also have wireless charging at your disposal here, 10W Qi wireless charging.
Ulefone has included an NFC chip inside of this phone as well, and you will notice 16-megapixel (interpolated to 21MP) and 8-megapixel (interpolated to 13MP) cameras on the back of the device. A single 8-megapixel (interpolated to 13MP) camera is included on the front side of the phone, while Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the device. Global 4G LTE bands are included in the package, says Ulefone, while the phone can actually serve you as an ultraviolet light detector as well. The phone can operate in temperatures between -40 and +80 degrees Celsius. The phone measures 166 x 83 x 13.3mm, while it weighs 228 grams.
