Huawei P30 Pro Concept Renders Tout Leaked Features, Design

Huawei’s highly-anticipated P30 Pro handset can now be viewed in all of its respective expected glory and in three different colors schemes via a recently upload showcasing unofficial renders based on leaked details and images of the handsets. Created and shared via Phone Industry,  the video presentation starts off showing the upcoming gadget in a close approximation of the aggressive-looking red variant of the P30 spotted in some of the most recent leaks.

The front of the device with its curved-edge display and teardrop notch are highlighted as well as the overall shape of the gadget before the view shifts to the rear camera array, complete with series-standard Leica branding and specs. That’s showcased as a triple-sensor array packing into Huawei’s long-standing camera hump and featuring ten-times zoom capabilities expected from the flagship. A dual-tone LED flash and other sensors are housed in a second vertically-oriented strip to the right of the cameras.

Also touted in the video are the expected ‘flat’ bottom and top edges of the Huawei P30 Pro, with the lower segment housing a SIM port, USB Type-C port, and a hole-punch speaker grill. The upper edge segment remains completely bare.

After showcasing the nearly-bezel-free layout of the front panel one last time, in addition to a few more angles of the overall design, the view shifts to show off three more color variations. Those include a blue and black handset, with the former of those centered around a similarly subtle gradation to the hue.

The fourth color is an almost pearlescent white with gold trim and accents that, if released, would almost certainly be applied to a specialty version of the handset.

Its all in the details

It can be said with near-certainty that Huawei will not be releasing a handset that looks exactly like the one shown in the latest unofficial concept renders but it does seem to get the details right across several aspects of the incoming smartphone. The device is expected to feature similar design language to that in the video and the images are obviously following leaked photos and at least one hands-on video that have cropped up in the lead-up to the company’s unveiling.

On the rear panel, Huawei is expected to include a triple-camera setup including 40, 20, and 8-megapixel cameras with 10x hybrid optical zoom. A 32-megapixel selfie snapper is expected in a teardrop notch at the top of the 6.47-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) curved OLED display. The fingerprint sensor will most likely be placed under that panel.

Internally, a Kirin 980 64-bit octa-core processor is expected for the Huawei P30 Pro. That will be backed up by 8GB of RAM and the buyer’s choice of either 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. Underneath all of that, jammed into the IP68 glass and metal package, the company is expected to include a SuperCharge compatible 4,200mAh non-removable battery.

Announcement and availability speculation

Huawei is expected to unveil its Huawei P30 Pro alongside a standard P30 and slightly less capable P30 Lite on March 26. Rumors place the price point of the handset shown in the recent render video at €999 and €1,099 for the 128GB and 256GB variants in Europe. That should, speculatively, place the price point for the 512GB storage model at between €1,249 and €1,299, although that may not turn out to be the case.
