Plenty of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro info was shared by WinFuture.de thus far, but Roland Quandt just added some more to the pile. The tipster has updated the article on the site with measurements and weight of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, while he also mentioned that a 32-megapixel front-facing camera on both phones will have an f/2.0 aperture lens.
Starting with the Huawei P30, the device will measure 149.1 x 71.36 x 7.57mm, while it will weigh 165 grams. The Huawei P30 Pro, on the other hand, will measure 158 x 73 x 8.41mm, and weigh 192 grams. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro measurements and weight are pretty much what you’d expect. The two phones will be quite narrow despite their large displays, mainly due to thin bezels and tall display aspect ratios, Huawei will once again utilize 19.5:9 display aspect ratios, same as on the Mate 20 series.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will make their debut on March 26 in Paris, as Huawei already announced that press conference. That event is less than a week away, and in addition to the two flagship-grade phones, Huawei will also introduce the P30 Lite, the company’s new mid-ranger.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be quite similar, but both their design and specifications will differ to a degree. Both phones will be made out of metal and glass, ship with three rear-facing cameras, and include a tiny display notch. Both devices will also include an in-display fingerprint scanner, be fueled by the Kirin 980 64-bit octa-core processor, and include Android 9 Pie out of the box with Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin.
The Huawei P30 will sport a 6.1-inch fullHD+ flat OLED display, while the P30 Pro will include a 6.47-inch fullHD+ curved OLED panel. The two devices will both include three cameras on the back, but those camera setups will differ. The Huawei P30 will include 40, 16, and 8-megapixel cameras, while the P30 Pro will ship with 40, 20, and 8-megapixel units, while it will also support 10x hybrid (optical) zoom, which is a feature that will not be available on the P30 it seems.
The Huawei P30 will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while that is the only version this phone will ship in. The Huawei P30 Pro, on the other hand, will sport 8GB of RAM in all variants, but you will be able to choose between 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.
The smaller P30 phone is said to include a 3,650mAh battery, while the P30 Pro will include a 4,200mAh unit. Both of those batteries will be non-removable, while both phones will support SuperCharge fast wired charging. Both devices are expected to include fast wireless charging as well.
The Huawei P30 will arrive in Black, White, and Blue color options, while the P30 Pro will be available in Black, White, Blue, and Orange. Those colors will probably have fancy names once they hit the market, by the way. Both devices will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while the P30 will include a 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike the P30 Pro. The P30 Pro will, however, sport an IR blaster, which is something the P30 will not offer.
