OUKITEL has just announced that it is planning to release a new smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery, the OUKITEL K12. This phone follows the lead of the OUKITEL K9 which arrived earlier this month with a 6,000mAh battery. Unlike the OUKITEL K9, though, the OUKITEL K12 will have a smartphone-sized display, not a 7.12-inch panel like the OUKITEL K12.
According to the information provided by the company, the OUKITEL K12 will feature a 6.3-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) display, in addition to the aforementioned battery. The company also revealed that the phone will support 5V/6A fast charging, just like the OUKITEL K9.
OUKITEL also said that the phone will be fueled by “a new 12nm power saving processor”, which suggests we’re looking at one of MediaTek’s newer chips. The phone’s 10,000mAh battery can be fully charged (from 0-percent to 100-percent) in two hours, says the company, but only with the included charger. This is a considerable improvement over previous generations of OUKITEL’s 10,000mAh phones.
The OUKITEL K12 will also include 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the company has confirmed, while OUKITEL also said that the phone will become available by the end of May, or beginning of June. We still do not know how much will this phone cost, but we do know what it will look like, as the company shared an image of the phone that you can check out above the article.
As you can see, the OUKITEL K12 will sport a teardrop notch at the top of the display, and inside of that notch, you’ll notice a front-facing camera, while an earpiece will be placed above it. The phone’s display sports rounded corners, while OUKITEL’s logo will be present below the display, as part of the phone’s chin, which will not be too thick based on the provided render.
It seems like OUKITEL plans to include leather on the back of this phone, which has become a custom for the company and its smartphones with huge batteries, probably to make them easier to grip.
The provided image reveals that two cameras will be placed on the back, and vertically aligned, while a dual-LED flash will sit next to them. A fingerprint scanner will also sit on the back of the phone, as will the company’s branding.
That is more or less all the info that we have on the OUKITEL K12 thus far, though the company will probably release more information in the coming weeks, before the phone becomes official, so stay tuned if you’re interested in the device.
