The OnePlus 7’s arrival is right around the corner, and yet another leak has just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to find a ton of images which are showing renders of the device itself, and its third-party cases.
This leak comes from a Twitter user called “Sudhanshu Ambhore”, who claims that these images come from a “case maker”, but he doesn’t say which one. In any case, you will spot two different cases in these images, what seems to be your regular, see-through gel case, and a matte black silicone case which is seemingly made to add more grip to the device. You will notice a rather interesting pattern on both this case’s back and its sides. Both of these are soft, silicone cases it seems.
Renders of the device are shown here along with these cases, and those renders actually reconfirm the design shared by @OnLeaks and Pricebaba last month. You will notice three cameras on the back of the device, and those three cameras are vertically aligned. There seem to be some sensors included between the second and third camera, while an LED flash is placed down below. OnePlus’ branding will be included on the back of the device as well, right below an LED flash.
Based on these renders, the OnePlus 7 will feature a really high screen-to-body ratio, as the phone will be almost bezel-less. The device will include a thin “chin” below the display, but that’s pretty much it. You will notice a cutout for the pop-up camera on the top of these cases, and it seems like that camera will be set off to the side, a little bit, it will not be centered.
Based on the cutouts shown on these cases, the OnePlus 7 will not include a 3.5mm headphone jack, as expected, while a Type-C USB port will be included on the bottom, along with the phone’s loudspeaker. An alert slider will be placed on the right-hand side of the device, along with a power / lock key, while the volume up and down buttons will sit on the left.
The OnePlus 7 is expected to arrive in May, a year after the OnePlus 6, even though the company still did not confirm its launch date. We already know that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, and that it will ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box. It is also well-known that it will not support 5G connectivity, as OnePlus is planning to announce a separate phone which will come with 5G support.
The OnePlus 7 is expected to sport a 6.5-inch fullHD+ Optic AMOLED display, while the phone will probably arrive in several RAM and storage variants, it remains to be seen whether the base model will include 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 7 is also expected to include a rather large battery on the inside, rumors are claiming that it will ship with a 4,000mAh battery, but it remains to be seen if there’s any truth there. You can also expect to see two SIM card slots on the inside of this phone, but the device will not offer storage expansion.
