The OUKITEL K9 has been officially announced by the company. This is the company’s brand new big battery smartphone which features a huge display, and a tiny notch on the front. It essentially looks more expensive than it actually is. This phone got teased earlier this month, and it’s finally here.
The phone’s dewdrop notch is placed on the top of the display, and above it sits the phone’s earpiece. A thin “chin” lays below the display, while bezels on this phone are generally quite thin. The phone seems to be made out of metal and glass, the company still did not confirm that it included glass on the back of the device, but if you check out the video provided down below, you’ll be able to see its back, and it does seem like glass is present on the back.
Speaking of the back, the phone features two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, and an LED flash is located next to them. A fingerprint scanner is included right below those two cameras, while the back side of the device is curved, and the company’s branding also sits back there. All the physical keys are included on the right-hand side of this phone, while the device’s SIM card tray sits on the left. The phone features an 84.6-percent screen-to-body ratio, in case you were wondering.
In terms of specs, the OUKITEL K9 is nothing to scoff at, the phone features a 7.12-inch fullHD+ (2244 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The device is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P35 64-bit octa-core processor, which is MediaTek’s mid-range 12nm chip.
On the back of the phone, you will be able to find 16-megapixel (Sony’s IMX298 sensor) and 2-megapixel cameras, while a single 8-megapixel camera sits on the phone’s front side. A 6,000mAh battery is also included in this package, and it supports 5V/6A fast charging (you can fully charge it in an hour and 30 minutes, says OUKITEL). After one hour of playing video, the OUKITEL K9’s battery was at 94-percent, while the iPhone 7 Plus stood at 68-percent, says OUKITEL.
Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the OUKITEL K9, the device supports 4G LTE connectivity, and it comes in Jet Black and Sapphire Blue color variants. The device measures 177.6 x 86.3 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 232.2 grams.
