Google has announced several new products during its Google I/O 2019 keynote, and most of them are now available via Google Store. Those products include the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones, the Nest Hub Max smart display, and the Pixel 3a (XL) Fabric case which we’ve already talked about.
The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were both introduced with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, so you technically have only one variant of each phone to choose from. The Google Pixel 3a is available for $399, while the Pixel 3a XL costs $479 in the US.
The Google Nest Hub Max is also listed on the Google Store, and it is priced at $229, but it is not yet available for purchase. You can join the waitlist, though, if you’re interested, and Google will let you know the moment it becomes available.
The Google Fiber case for the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL can now be purchased for $40. This is the same Fiber case that has been available for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and it comes in three color variants. You can choose between the Carbon, Fog, and Seascape color options. The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are Google’s first mid-range Pixel smartphones, and it seems like Google managed to turn some heads with their price tags, at least based on initial reactions off of social media.
These two phones are made out of polycarbonate, not metal, and they extremely similar to the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are both fueled by the Snapdragon 670 SoC, and they both come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both devices also include a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a set of stereo speakers.
These two Pixel phones come with Pixel 3’s 12.2-megapixel main camera, which is one of their main selling points. An 8-megapixel camera is included on their front side, while they ship with Android 9 Pie. Both phones include fullHD+ OLED displays, the Pixel 3a comes with a 5.6-inch panel, while the Pixel 3a XL sports a 6-inch unit.
The Google Nest Hub Max is the company’s very first smart display, and it’s not much to look at, but if you’re in the market for a smart display, you’ll probably consider getting one of these. You can use the Nest Hub Max to help you cook in the kitchen, as it has full support for Google Assistant, and you can also utilize it as a security camera of sorts. The Nest Hub Max can also serve as an on-demand speaker, and so on. The device will become available later this summer.
That is pretty much it. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are available along with Google’s official case, while those of you interested in the Nest Hub Max will have to wait a bit longer. Google has several other, older accessories in the Google Store that are compatible with the Pixel 3a series, though they’re not exclusive for those two phones, so those may be worth checking out as well if you’re getting the Pixel 3a or Pixel 3a XL.
