This is the first press image of the upcoming Galaxy Note10, and it does line up almost perfectly with the other rumors and leaks we have seen in the past few weeks regarding the device.
As we can see from the image, the Galaxy Note10 has almost no forehead and a pretty small chin (though larger than the forehead). There is also the cut out in the center for the camera, which looks to be a bit larger than the Galaxy S10’s cut out.
On the back, there is the triple-camera setup with the flash to the right of it. There are also two buttons on the left side. This is likely the volume rocker and the Bixby button. But there doesn’t appear to be a button on the right side for power. That could just be an omission here, or something more interesting coming to the Galaxy Note10. We’ll have to wait til August 7 to find out for sure.
Then there is the S Pen. It is rumored that it will be getting some more functionality this year, as well as a bigger battery for the Bluetooth support. But in this picture, it looks largely the same as every other S Pen that Samsung has put out. So we’ll have to wait and see on that front.
This is the “regular” Galaxy Note10. Not the Galaxy Note10+, which is supposed to be larger and also have a few other features, like a micro SD card slot. This is going to be the first time that Samsung has done two different Galaxy Note smartphones at the same time. It’s something that Samsung has done with the Galaxy S lineup for a few years now, so it’s not a huge surprise to see it happening to the Galaxy Note. Especially after seeing how successful it has been with the Galaxy S.
Samsung is slated to announce the Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10+ at its Unpacked event on August 7, in New York City. It’s rumored to be coming with a few other hardware announcements too, like the Galaxy Watch 2 and the Galaxy Tab S6. Of course there could also be more – like the very delayed, Galaxy Home smart speaker with Bixby. That was first announced at Unpacked last year with the Galaxy Note9.
The Galaxy Note10 has some pretty big shoes to fill. After the Galaxy Note9 was very well received last year, since it was a pretty big upgrade over the Galaxy Note8. Even though it did jump in price to $999, it deserved that price jump. Adding more storage, more RAM, a bigger battery and a lot more features – especially with the S Pen. Then came the Galaxy S10 lineup, which also did pretty well and was a pretty big upgrade from the Galaxy Note9 (minus the S Pen of course). So for the Galaxy Note10 to do well, it’s going to have some big shoes to fill. But if any company can do it, it would be Samsung.
