If you’ve been wondering what Samsung is planning to release in the tablet and wearables section by the end of 2019, well, all of that seems to have been revealed now. CashKaro has shared some leaked images which seem to show Samsung’s tablet and wearable product plans for the rest of the year.
Let’s focus on tablets first. If you take a look at the first image in the gallery down below, you will be able to see the company’s tablet lineups for both 2018 and 2019. Some of these devices have already made it to the market, but several of them still have not.
If this list is to be believed, Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Book 3, Tab S5, and Tab Active3 in the third quarter of this year, so they are all expected to arrive before the end of September. Some of these products may debut at IFA in Berlin, which is set to take place in September… we’re only guessing, of course, but it’s quite possible.
The Samsung Book 3 and Tab S5 belong in the premium segment of products, as it is highlighted in the provided image. The Samsung Book 3 is set to replace the Book 2 which arrived last year, and the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, most probably. The Galaxy Book 2 sported a 12-inch Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while we still do not know what to expect out of the Book 3 in this regard. The device will probably include at least 6GB of RAM, though.
The Galaxy Tab S5 is set to become the company’s flagship tablet. This device may actually launch alongside the Galaxy Note10 series in August but we’ll see. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855, while it is expected to include at least 6GB of RAM, and plenty of storage.
The Samsung Tab Active3 will be a successor to the Tab Active2, but that’s pretty much everything we know about this device at this point in time. Not a single piece of info surfaced thus far.
What about wearables? Well, the company is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 2 in both 40mm and 44mm variants in the third quarter of this year. These two variants of the Galaxy Watch 2 will succeed the first-gen Galaxy Watch which arrived last year.
The original Galaxy Watch was available in a 42mm variant only, so the company will offer some options to consumers this time around. You will notice that the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is missing from the list, so it seems like we won’t get a successor to the Galaxy Watch.
It seems like Samsung is planning to release quite a few devices in the coming months, everything we’ve listed here plus the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+ are also coming in August. Samsung will also announce some additional smartphones by the end of the year, no doubt about that.
Huawei’s recent struggles due to the US ban have certainly helped Samsung’s sales, at least a little bit, though we won’t know the full scope of it until one of the market research companies steps forward. It remains to be seen if this list is accurate, but if it is, consumers will have plenty of Samsung-branded products to purchase by the end of 2019.
