Huawei Mate 30 To Include A Bigger Notch Than Its Predecessor: Leak

The Huawei Mate 30 front panel has just surfaced in China. Several images of the phone’s alleged front panel appeared on Weibo (Chinese social media network), and it seems like a bigger notch is coming.

If this information is accurate, the Huawei Mate 30 will feature a bigger notch than its predecessor. The Huawei Mate 20 included a regular waterdrop display notch. As you can see, the Huawei Mate 30 front panel suggests that the phone’s notch will be a bit wider.

Two front-facing cameras to be included

There’s a good reason for that, though. It seems like this display notch will include two cameras, not one, like on the Mate 20. It is also worth noting that this applies only to the regular Mate 30.

The “Pro” model will probably include an even larger notch, due to advanced facial scanning features. That is not surprising, though, as the Mate 20 Pro included a rather large notch as well.

The Mate 30 will become official on September 19, along with its sibling, the Mate 30 Pro. The two phones will be announced in Berlin, Germany, that much had been confirmed by Huawei.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro will feature an even bigger notch

Both phones will be made out of metal and glass, though the Mate 30 will be smaller. The Mate 30 will also look a bit different than the “Pro” variant, as we’ve discussed already. Its notch will be smaller, while the camera setup on the back will also be different, though quite similar.

The Huawei Mate 30 will be fueled by the Kirin 990 64-bit octa-core processor, just like its sibling. This is Huawei’s brand new flagship processor, which comes with 5G support out of the box.

The Huawei Mate 30 will include at least 6GB of RAM, though more than one variant of the phone is expected. Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, along with Emotion UI (EMUI) 10. Google’s services will not be pre-installed, though, but Huawei will probably figure out a way to take care of that, It will probably make it possible for you to install all that the moment your power on the device.

The “Pro” model will include four cameras on the back

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is rumored to include four cameras on the back. We still do not know what will the case be with the regular Mate 30, but it is expected to sport three or four cameras.

The Mate 30 will probably sport a flat display, while the “Pro” model will come with a “Waterfall Display”. Huawei will almost certainly include OLED panels on both devices, while the Mate 30 is expected to feature a fullHD+ display.

Both devices will include Leica’s lenses on top of its cameras, as did their predecessors. Large batteries are expected on both phones, along with fast wired and wireless charging.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro’s charging will probably be faster, though, both wired and wireless. The “Pro” model will be more powerful in general, but the Mate 30 will not be that much behind, at all.
