In addition to announcing the OnePlus 7T, OnePlus also announced the OnePlus 7T Pro during today’s London event. We’ve already covered the launch of both of these phones. A separate OnePlus 7T specifications article has also been published. It’s time to focus on the specifications of the larger OnePlus 7T handset, the OnePlus 7T Pro.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is actually quite similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro which arrived back in May. That goes both for its design and specifications.
The OnePlus 7T Pro borrows the OnePlus 7 Pro’s design
Other than a different color scheme, the OnePlus 7T Pro looks identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro. Most of its spec sheet is the same as well, but there are some improvements worth noting. Let’s get down to it.
This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor by Qualcomm. This is the most powerful chip the company has to offer. It’s more powerful than the Snapdragon 855, but not by much.
The phone features a 6.67-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440, 516ppi) Fluid AMOLED display. This is the same display that was included in the OnePlus 7 Pro. It is a curved panel which comes with 90Hz refresh rate. It is also worth noting that it has HDR10+ certification.
The OnePlus 7T Pro includes 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. That storage is not expandable, by the way.
A 4,080mAh battery is also included in the package, and it’s not removable. This battery can be recharged using Warp Charge 30T, which is 23-percent faster than Warp Charge 30. Wireless charging is not supported.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on the OnePlus 7T Pro, along with OxygenOS 10. The device includes two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and it is not certified for water resistance. This phone also doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack.
Three cameras on the back, and a pop-up selfie camera
There are three cameras included on the back of the OnePlus 7T Pro. Those sensors are identical to the ones on the OnePlus 7 Pro, by the way. That includes the front-facing one as well.
On the back, the OnePlus 7T Pro features 48-megapixel (Sony’s IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixel size, OIS, EIS, f/1.6 aperture), 16-megapixel (f/2.2 aperture, 117-degree wide-angle lens), and 8-megapixel (1.0um pixel size, f/2.4 aperture) cameras. On the front, you’ll find a 16-megapixel (Sony’s IMX471 sensor, 1.0um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) pop-up camera.
USB 3.1 is also included here, while the haptics motor has been improved as well. Stereo speakers are a part of the package, as is Dolby Atmos support. An optical in-display fingerprint scanner is included, the same one as on the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T.
The phone measures 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8mm, and weighs 206 grams. The OnePlus 7T Pro got announced in a Haze Blue option only.
