Alleged Huawei P40 Pro Case Leaks Along With Phone Renders

The alleged Huawei P40 Pro case has just surfaced in several images, along with renders of the device itself. Do note that this is a third-party case, and we’d take this info with a grain of salt.

The Huawei P40 Pro renders could have been made for the promotion of this case by a third-party source. Still, the design of the device may be accurate, at least to a degree.

This smartphone surfaced quite a few times thus far. @OnLeaks shared its renders a while back, even though they were quite dark and didn’t reveal the whole picture.

This is a generic, third-party case for the Huawei P40 Pro

The alleged P40 Pro case that you can see in the provided images, seems to be made out of rubber. This is your regular third-party case that you can find on eBay, AliExpress, Amazon, and so on.

The device that is shown here is made out of metal and glass. It sports rather thin bezels, and a very slight curve on the front. Its display is curved, but not as much as you’d expect. This aspect may be accurate, as the P40 Pro is rumored to feature a slight curve.

You will also notice that the display sports rounded corners, and a pill-shaped cutout on the front. That cutout hosts two front-facing cameras, and is placed in the top-left corner of the display.

The device is expected to include five cameras on the back

On the back, this phone has five cameras. Even though the Huawei P40 Pro is rumored to include five cameras on the back, the final design will probably look a bit different. These cameras don’t seem to be aligned properly.

In any case, the phone’s rear camera module will protrude a bit, and it will be located in the top-left corner. All of its physical buttons will sit on the right.

The final Huawei P40 Pro design may resemble this one, but do note that it will not look identical. Chances are these are renders made by a third-party source.

The Huawei P40 Pro will be fueled by the Kirin 990 64-bit octa-core processor, and support 5G. Unlike its siblings, the P40, it will include a curved display on the front.

Android 10 is expected to come pre-installed on the phone, along with EMUI 10. The device will probably not include GMS, though, unless the US removes Huawei from the trade blacklist.

Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will become official at the end of March. That is something that the company’s CEO, Richard Yu, confirmed during a recent interview.
