The most expensive Huawei P40 flagship will be called the Huawei P40 Pro Plus 5G, it seems. This has been confirmed by Ishan Agarwal, a well-known tipster.
Mr. Agarwal confirmed this via a Tweet, while it also reshared the image Evan Blass offered earlier. That image shows this smartphone, and it is included above this article. We’ll talk more about that in a second.
This smartphone was originally rumored as the ‘Huawei P40 Pro PE’, while the ‘PE’ was supposed to stand for ‘Premium Edition’. It seems like the phone will be called differently, though.
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus 5G flagship will be more powerful than the P40 & P40 Pro
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus 5G flagship will have an edge over the P40 and P40 Pro. It will have some extra cameras, and will include ceramic instead of glass on the back. That is at least what the rumors / leaks are saying.
Other than that, it will look like the Huawei P40 Pro. If you take a look at the image provided above the article, you’ll be able to see the device. It has five cameras on the back, including a periscope camera.
That camera module will protrude on the back, and it will be quite large, as you can see. Huawei’s branding will be included on the back of the phone as well.
It will feature three cameras inside its pill-shaped display hole
Both the phone’s front and back sides will be curved. This phone will offer a curved display, just like the P40 Pro. It will also sport three cameras inside of that pill-shaped camera hole on the front.
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus 5G will have either the same display as the P40 Pro, or a larger one. If it ends up sporting the same panel, we’ll get a 6.58-inch display. If it ends up being larger, Huawei may use a 6.7-inch display.
That will be an OLED panel, but we’re still not sure what to expect in terms of resolution and refresh rate. QHD+ is expected, and a high refresh rate is also expected, but we’ll see.
The Kirin 990 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel this phone, and make it possible for the device to connect to 5G networks. The phone is expected to include a large battery, and extremely fast charging, both wired and wireless.
Android 10 will come pre-installed on this phone, along with Huawei’s EMUI skin. The device will not include Google services, though, so keep that in mind.
The phone will also offer certification for water and dust resistance. Huawei is expected to utilize LPDDR5 RAM inside of this phone, and plenty of it. On top of that, UFS 3.0 or 3.1 flash storage is also expected.
