According to a new report by Ishan Agarwal and 91mobiles, the OnePlus 8 Pro will include 30W wireless charging. That’s not all, though, the source also claims that 30W reverse wireless charging will also be a part of the package.
Initially, we thought that Mr. Agarwal made a mistake in his tweet when mentioning 30W for both wireless and reverse wireless charging, but he did not. He confirmed that in the form of a comment.

So, not only will the OnePlus 8 Pro support really fast wireless charging, but it will also support the fastest reverse wireless charging in the market. For comparison’s sake, the Galaxy S20 series supports 9W reverse wireless charging.
That’s a rather bold move on OnePlus’ part, as we hope that the company managed to figure out how to deal with heat. Heating up has been highlighted by OnePlus as one of the main obstacles when it comes to wireless charging… well, that, and its speed.
It seems like the speed is not the problem anymore, but the heat may be. OnePlus did say that it will not implement wireless charging until it finds a solution, so we guess it did.
The source also mentioned that the 8 Pro will support Dual 5G, and be fueled by the Snapdragon 865. It was also, once again, reconfirmed that both OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will feature 120Hz displays, and the aforementioned SoC.
The regular model is expected to include a smaller display, and no wireless charging
You can expect a display camera hole in the top-left corner of both devices. The OnePlus 8 is expected to include a 6.5-inch AMOLED display, with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The ‘Pro’ model will include a 6.65-inch AMOLED panel, and it will also include an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The resolutions of these two displays may be different. The OnePlus 8 may include a fullHD+ display, while the ‘Pro’ model may ship with a QHD+ panel. We’ll have to wait and see.
The OnePlus 8 is tipped to arrive in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 12GB + 256GB storage (UFS 3.0) variants. The phone is also said to include 48, 16, and 12-megapixel cameras on the back.
In addition to that, the OnePlus 8 will sport a 4,000mAh battery if rumors are to be believed, which will support 30T Warp Charge wired charging.
The OnePlus 8 Pro will include a 4,500mAh battery, and 10V/5A Super Warp fast charging. It seems like only the ‘Pro’ model will offer wireless charging, unfortunately.
Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are expected to arrive in April. If rumors are to be believed, we can expect them to arrive in the second week of April. It is expected to happen round April 14.
