Huawei had introduced its P40 series smartphones quite recently, and both phones are now available in Europe. That’s not all, though, as you can get a free smartwatch if you purchase either of them.
The Huawei P40 & P40 Pro are now on sale in Europe, and come with a free smartwatch
These two smartphones come with a free smartwatch from Huawei, either the Watch GT 2 or GT 2e. The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are not exactly available across Europe just yet, but will be coming to more markets soon.
The two phones can now be purchased in Germany, as they are officially on sale. The regular model goes for €800, while the ‘Pro’ unit will set you back €1,000. Shipping starts today, in fact. If you purchase one in Germany, you’ll not only get the Huawei Watch GT 2e, but also the Freebuds 3 TWS earphones.
The phone is listed in both France and Italy, but the shipping date is not, not yet. A similar promotion is offered, though, as the Huawei Watch GT2 46mm sport is mentioned. The Huawei P40 Pro costs €50 more in Italy, though.
Those of you who want to buy it in Spain, it’s listed there as well, while pricing is a bit different for the UK. The regular model costs £700, while the ‘Pro’ unit will set you back £900.
It’s also worth noting that both devices are available in China as well. Huawei is putting a lot of focus on Huawei Media Services which come pre-installed, you’ll notice that message the moment you open up a listing.
Do note that Huawei actually launched three flagships last month, not two. The Huawei P40 Pro+ is not yet available, though, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for that variant.
All three P40 handsets are quite powerful
All three Huawei P40 phones are quite powerful, though there are some differences between them. The Huawei P40 is the only phone to come with a flat display, and it’s also smaller than the other two. It’s the only phone that offers a 60Hz display, and has the least number of cameras.
The Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ are much more similar. They look almost the same, though the Pro+ model includes an extra camera on the back. It also comes with a ceramic backplate.
All three devices include a rather powerful 50-megapixel main camera on the back. All three are fueled by the same processor, Huawei’s flagship Kirin 990 SoC.
Android 10 comes pre-installed on all three phones, along with EMUI skin. Do note that Google’s services are not pre-installed on either of these three devices.
All three phones include a pill-shaped display camera hole on the front. It will be interesting to see how well will the P40 series well now that Google is out of the picture.
