This Is The Design Of Meizu 17 5G Flagship, Launching On May 8

The Meizu 17 5G will become official on May 8. The company finally confirmed the date recently, and now the Meizu 17 5G design has been revealed as well. The company itself shared a render of the phone.

The Meizu 17 5G design revealed along with its color options

The company has also confirmed that the phone will become available in White and Gray color variants. Do note that this handset will support 5G connectivity, as will the ‘Pro’ model that is expected to arrive.

Meizu is expected to launch both the Meizu 17 5G and 17 Pro 5G during that launch event. We’re not sure if the two phones will look the same, but it’s possible. It’s possible that the ‘Pro’ variant will look the same but be a bit smaller.

As you can see in the provided image, the Meizu 17 5G will include a flat display. The phone will also have a display camera hole in the top-right corner, and rather thin bezels. Its corners will be rounded, as will the display corners.

The phone will be made out of metal and glass, and its camera will be horizontally-aligned. Four cameras will be placed on the back of this phone, and that sensor in the center is actually an LED flash.

An in-display fingerprint scanner will also be included in the device. Meizu’s logo is clearly visible on the back of the phone, and the phone’s camera module on the back will protrude a bit.

The Meizu 17 5G specs did surface a while back. The phone is expected to feature a 6.5-inch fullHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. The ‘Pro’ model may offer 120Hz refresh rate, though.

LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 flash storage will both be included in this phone

The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 64-bit octa-core processor, and include both LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. We still do not know much of each, though.

Android 10 will come pre-installed on the device, along with Flyme 8 UI. A 4,500mAh battery is also expected to be included, along with 30W fast wired charging. We’re still not sure if the regular model will offer fast charging, but the ‘Pro’ unit should.

The Meizu 17 5G series is expected to be quite affordable in China, considering what it has to offer. The two phones will probably become available in other markets as well, we just don’t know when.

There you have it, the Meizu 17 5G design has been confirmed by the company itself. There’s not much left to hide in regards to the design, but we still don’t have the whole picture when it comes to specs.

Meizu will have a hard time battling it out with other companies in China, as the competition is incredible. The Meizu 17 5G series does seem to be able to offer a lot, so we’ll see how will that go.
