These two devices from Motorola are very different, as we can tell by the specs above. The Motorola Edge+ is definitely the much more high-end smartphone from the company, with 12GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 865. However, bot of these should be pretty impressive on a number of levels.

Motorola Edge is going to make 5G available to the masses

As you can tell by the specs, the Motorola Edge is using a lower-end processor, in the Snapdragon 765. But it is still a pretty fast processor that is also very powerful, still.

With the Snapdragon 765 inside, it means that the Motorola Edge is going to be much cheaper than the Motorola Edge+. That means that more people are going to be able to get a 5G smartphone, even if it is from Motorola. Which was the entire purpose behind Qualcomm making the Snapdragon 765 with its 5G modem. Making 5G available to the masses.

So with 5G support, you’re also going to be able to get some pretty impressive battery life, since the Snapdragon 765 is a more battery efficient SoC compared to the Snapdragon 865. The only downside to using the Snapdragon 765 is the fact that it won’t work on Verizon, due to it using mmWave for 5G. Motorola has made a single model of the Edge series for Verizon, which is going to be the Edge+. And that’s due to mmWave.
