Robert Downey Jr. is OnePlus’ brand ambassador, and he just appeared in the very first OnePlus 8 Pro promo video. This video has been released in China, and shared by a third-party on YouTube.
This promo video is in English, though, despite the fact it has been published in China. There are Chinese subtitles as well, along with English ones. The ad has a duration of about two minutes.
Robert Downey Jr. makes the OnePlus 8 Pro promo video entertaining & fun
In its recognizable style, Robert Downey Jr. keeps this OnePlus 8 Pro promo video quite fun… well, him, and whoever directed it. It’s easy on the eyes, and yet it does a good job of promoting the OnePlus 8 Pro features.
In this video, the well-known Hollywood actor promotes the design, 5G, wireless payments, the phone’s cameras, wireless charging, water resistance, and so on.
It remains to be seen whether this ad will become official in Europe and the US at some point. In any case, Robert Downey Jr. is using the OnePlus 8 Pro throughout the video.
OnePlus recently introduced its new flagships, the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The regular model did not make an appearance in this video, but it has been mentioned in the end kind of.
At the very end of this video, there’s a voice-over which says “the OnePlus 8 series, Never Settle”. Never Settle is the company’s motto, and even though we don’t get to see the regular OnePlus 8, it’s kind of mentioned here.
Both devices already went on pre-order in the US and Europe. Both phones have been sold out in the US, though, really fast, in fact. They will go on sale pretty soon, though. Click here for more information.
The two phones look quite similar
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro are quite similar as far as the design is concerned. They do have quite a few differences on the inside, though.
The OnePlus 8 Pro offers more features, and it’s more powerful in general. It offers a QHD+ 120Hz display, compared to a 90Hz fullHD+ panel on the OnePlus 8.
It also comes with a better camera setup than the OnePlus 8, and faster RAM. The OnePlus 8 does not have an official IP rating, nor does it support wireless charging like its big brother.
