Motorola may soon launch a “Plus” variant of the Motorola One Vision, which was launched back in May 2019. The evidence comes courtesy of a listing on the Android Enterprise Directory. First spotted by MySmartPrice, the listing also reveals some of the device’s key specifications.
The upcoming Motorola One Vision Plus could feature a 6.3-inch display, same as that of last year’s One Vision. It’ll likely be a 1080 x 2520 pixel resolution display with an aspect ratio of 21:9.
The handset gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity. Motorola may also launch the phone in other memory combinations, though. Other specs include support for NFC as well as a fingerprint scanner.
Google’s listing shows the Motorola One Vision Plus to run Android 9 Pie but that may not be true. The original One Vision has already received the Android 10 update in January this year, so its successor should run Android 10 out of the box.
The listing on the Android Enterprise Directory also features an image of a Motorola smartphone. It has a waterdrop-style notch housing the front camera, unlike the One Vision which features a punch-hole camera.
The device in the image looks identical to the Motorola G8 Plus, though. So it could be just a placeholder image and the real Motorola One Vision Plus may look different.
Motorola One Vision Plus leak
This Motorola One Vision Plus leak doesn’t reveal enough details to tell what could be “Plus” about this phone. Perhaps it has more powerful internals and upgraded camera setup.
Last year’s Motorola One Vision was powered by the Exynos 9609, which is Samsung’s mid-range, 64-bit octa-core processor. The Motorola G8 Plus, which shares some specs with this phone, features the Snapdragon 665 SoC. So expect the One Vision Plus to pack the same, if not better it.
Even if Motorola opts for a Samsung chipset, expect it to be the Exynos 9611, which is found in the Korean company’s several mid-range offerings, including the Galaxy A51.
As for the camera specs, the Motorola One Vision packs a dual rear camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 5-megapixel secondary lens.
The front camera is a 25-megapixel sensor. Now, the “Plus” variant may get additional lenses on the back.
It is not known when Motorola plans to launch the One Vision Plus. The Lenovo-owned company also has several more smartphones in the works, including the Moto E7 which was leaked via the Google Play Console yesterday. We may get to hear more about these two smartphones in the coming weeks, as Motorola gears up for their launch.
