Two new Redmi-branded smartphones have landed, the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Before we begin, it is worth noting that the Redmi Note 9 Pro was kind of introduced in India already, as the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
The thing is, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is not identical to that device, and this is its global launch. There is a slight change in the camera design here, and its front-facing camera. Other than that, it’s the same as the variant in India.
The Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro do look quite similar in comparison, but they’re not the same. Both devices have really thin bezels. Their bottom bezel is the thickest, and yet it’s still quite thin.
You’ll notice that both have a display camera hole, but not in the same place. The one on the Note 9 is placed in the top-left corner, while the one on the Note 9 Pro is centered.
Both devices include four cameras on the back, two in each row. A capacitive fingerprint scanner is placed on the back of the regular model, while the ‘Pro’ variant has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
They are quite different in terms of specifications. That is why we’ll talk about the Redmi Note 9 first, and then get back to the Note 9 Pro.
