OnePlus is working on a documentary for which it just released a trailer. This trailer surfaced on the company’s official YouTube page, and the company’s social media channels.
This trailer has a duration of about a minute and a half, and it is embedded below this paragraph. The trailer itself will give you a good idea as to what you can expect in this documentary.
This documentary will show us the story behind the OnePlus Nord development
This particular documentary will show you the story behind the upcoming OnePlus Nord, if that ends up being its name. In any case, the company is planning to announce a new mid-range phone, and this is probably it.
OnePlus is heavily using the ‘New Beginnings’ caption for this project, and has been intensively teasing what’s to come. OnePlus has been reminiscing about the OnePlus One launch, and promises to change the game again.
In any case, this documentary will premiere on June 30, so it will arrive before the phone’s launch event. That probably means that the phone will be censured in the documentary, as it is in the trailer.
What’s interesting here, is that the team that OnePlus assembled had only 6 months to work on this project. The development of a smartphone lasts considerably longer than that, at least half as much.
This trailer will reveal some stressful times behind the development of the device. This team had a limited budget to work with, and they had to find a way to achieve everything they can inside that budget.
The documentary will come in four parts
That created some interesting arguments, based on this trailer, and we’ll hopefully see the details in the documentary itself. What’s interesting, though, is that the documentary will come in four parts.
So, the first one will debut on June 30, and the last one will probably arrive at the same time as the phone gets announced, or after that.
OnePlus is quite cryptic when it comes to this new smartphone. It is purposely teasing both consumers and tipster, taunting tipsters to launch some of it, basically.
The OnePlus Nord, if that ends up being its name, will be a spiritual successor to the OnePlus X. That device launched alongside the OnePlus 2, a long, long time ago.
The device will allegedly be fueled by the Snapdragon 765G, and support 5G. It will feature a fullHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, which will be flat, and Android 10 will come pre-installed.
