Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Specifications Leaked

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 have leaked according to Android Authority. The product was eventually confirmed by the company recently after much speculation surrounding its name as well as other features.

The leaked information has found that the Galaxy Watch 3 will come in 1.2 and 1.4-inch display variants. Many have commented that in terms of health sensors it is pretty much a match for the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Samsung reportedly named the watch the 3 because it did not want it being seen as the equal of the Active 2.

Reported Galaxy Watch 3 Specifications

Although unconfirmed, the Galaxy Watch 3 will come in the two display sizes as mentioned above. Sam Mobile claims the watch will  8GB of internal storage, support LTE and GPS connectivity. The leaks also suggest the watch will come with the usual IP68 water (up to 50 metres in depth for 10 minutes) resistance and MIL-STD-810G design although this is not a shock.

Other reported features from this leak include the likelihood for Titanium and Stainless Steel casing. This has also been reported in previous rumours but appears to be coming more a possibility now. It is also likely that we will see a return of the rotating bezel. However, owing to the dimensions in a slightly smaller version compared to the original Galaxy Watch.

The smaller size of the bezel is probably a good thing. The original Galaxy Watch looked bulky so this will be positive. The two different watch sizes will come with 247 and 340mAh batteries. Speculation suggests this will result in around a two-day battery life if other models are anything to go by.

Health Sensors to Remain Similar

Few details are available on the software specifications other than the Tizen version number. The Galaxy Watch 3 is also likely to come with 1GB of Ram. The new product from Samsung is likely to be very similar to the Active 2 in terms of health and fitness specifications.

The Watch will also come with an ECG but its currently not clear as to whether the feature will be functional at launch. Rumours indicate the Galaxy Watch 3 may be launched in July so it could be very much touch and go for this feature.

It is important to note that all of the above is unconfirmed rumours. However, in many cases, it corroborates previous rumours thus indicating its accuracy. We will have to wait until Samsung confirm all this information. However, it is likely that that will not be too far away.
