First System Update Goes Live For OnePlus Nord

OnePlus has pushed a new update for the OnePlus Nord. This day-one update for the OnePlus Nord brings optimization for video calling and several camera optimizations. After carrying out their business in the flagship-killer category, OnePlus finally released a mid-range phone yesterday. Moreover, the company managed to create a massive hype about OnePlus Nord. This did the trick as many users pre-booked the device without even knowing the specs of the phone.

OnePlus Nord will soon make its way to the buyer’s hand. But before that, a new system update has been released by the OEM. And guess what? one of the main issues with OnePlus phones, the camera, is being optimized with this update. Specifically, the power efficiency for video shooting at 4K 60fps, depth sensor, indoor image quality, and overall camera performance has been improved. Besides, the update is arriving via OTA, so it will take some time in hitting all the units.

This latest OnePlus Nord update is rolling out with version number OxygenOS 10.5.1 AC01DA. OnePlus, which is known to keep its devices running on the latest security patch, has surprisingly bundled the June 2020 security patch with the update. It weighs in around 103 MB in size. Notably, this OnePlus Nord update is currently live for users in India. It will soon make its way to other regions.

OnePlus Nord is the company’s first mid-range device

Although there are tons of mid-range smartphones available in the market, OnePlus has cut unnecessary corners. They have included features of top quality for the price range. You get a quad-camera setup, with 48 MP primary camera, 8 MP ultra-wide lens,  5 MP depth, and 2 MP macro camera.

Cameras are not the stronghold of OnePlus, but this phone does a good job as compared to its rivals. For a base price of €399/INR 24,999, you are getting a 5G phone, if that’s what you ask. It has Android 10 on the house and rocks a dual front camera setup with an additional wide-angle selfie camera. Besides, the 90Hz display is a cherry on top.

This makes the OnePlus Nord a good mid-range package for the price range. One of the most important things, where OnePlus has kept its hold is the software update department. Keeping in mind OnePlus’s brilliant software update policy of releasing three major OS updates, this device will surely get updated to Android 13. Apparently this new update is a good sign that OnePlus wants to bring the best software experience for its users before it goes into their hands.
