This Is How Much The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Series Will Probably Cost

Samsung is gearing up for the Unpacked Event, which is scheduled on August 5, 2020. As per an official blog post, the Korean OEM will launch 5 Samsung devices, out of which three would be the Galaxy Note 20 series phones. The other two devices would be the Galaxy Buds Live and a new Galaxy Watch. But we all are waiting to see the Galaxy Note 20 series in their full glory. Our earlier coverage has already reported all the leaked specs for Galaxy Note 20, European variants.

Apparently, a 108MP primary sensor is expected to be housed in the Ultra version of the Note 20. Other features include USB-C Gen 3.2, along with NFC, Wireless DeX, Wi-Fi 6 support, on-screen fingerprint scanner, etc. It is rumored to come with the Exynos 990 chipset. Yes, it is the same chip found in the Galaxy S20. Though we have to wait till, August 5 to get a clear picture on that front.

Interestingly, a new rumor has come up regarding the price of the Galaxy Note 20 series. As per a report, all the Galaxy Note 20 variants will be priced the same as the 2019 Galaxy Note 10 lineup. This piece of information has been cited to be from industry sources. Basically, the Korean OEM is trying to make the most of this pandemic situation. And if it turns out to be true, we will be seeing cheapest 5G flagship smartphones from Samsung.

Galaxy Note 20 series to be priced the same as the Galaxy Note 10 series

If we go by the source, Samsung is eyeing to release the Galaxy Note 20 with the pricing of 1.199 million won (US$998). While the ‘Ultra’ model will cost around 1.452 million won ($1,209). To give you an insight, the Galaxy Note 10 series was launched back in 2019. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 carried a price tag of 1.248 million won ($1,038), and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus was priced at 1.397 million won ($1,162).

Comparatively, Samsung released the Galaxy S20 series, which includes the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra, earlier this year. The prices were 1.248, 1.353, and 1.595 million won, respectively. It seems like the company wants to bounce back and surge its sales to reduce the losses because of the COVID-19 pandemic. One thing to note is that these are not official numbers. So, we would have to wait until the official numbers are shared by Samsung itself.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra expected to go all out with specs

The high-end variant of Galaxy Note 20, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be meatier than others in the lineup. Which is expected, as the phone will be costliest among all the models. It is rumored to pack the 108MP camera with 50x Digital Zoom and ditch the 100x Space Zoom feature of Galaxy S20 Ultra. It is also going to come equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display. Moreover, the Note 20 Ultra is also said to be the first smartphone in the world to come with Gorilla Glass 7 protection. However, it is unclear whether the cheaper Note 20 models will get this protection or not. And to know that, we have to wait till August 5 for the Unpacked Event.
