Samsung Internet 12.1 Adds Revamped Tab Switcher & Galaxy Z Flip Support

A new update is available for the Samsung Internet browser, which adds a new grid-layout for tab switcher and improved Galaxy Z Flip support.

Well, beta updates are always there for the users to try out the latest features that the developers are working on for the app. In this process, new features for the Samsung Internet browser is now available on the stable version of the app.

Notably, as per Android Police, this new grid layout tab switcher is similar to what we have on Google Chrome. It arranges all your recent tabs based on the time it was modified, in a grid layout.

Besides, after you are done with the installation of this Samsung Internet 12.1, once you hit the tab switcher button, you will be greeted with a message. This message will ask you how you’d like to view your tabs: List, cards, or grid.

Obviously the grid layout is the latest addition, and you can select it to view your recent tabs in a grid layout. However, the size of the grid depends on the size of your device’s screen.

In total, the grid layout will show two tabs side by side or display up to six website tabs preview at once. Though the display settings if tweaked will show less dense grid tabs, depending on the display size.

The new update also allows the user to swipe down to get the top tabs closer to your reach

Moreover, along with the new layout, you can swipe down to get the top tab to your reach. Making it easier for one-hand access. Importantly, there is another feature related to tabs that have been added with this new update.

Apparently, there is a new context menu that users can activate by heading over to Settings>>Appearance>>Show tabs below address bar.

Basically, this feature will give you options such as close all tabs, close other tabs, and pin or duplicate the current tab. Additionally, the new Samsung Internet browser 12.1 brings support for Galaxy Z Flip as well.

Now, the Galaxy Z Flip user has the option to watch the videos on the top half of the screen and get the controls to be shown on the lower half.

This is a great addition to the browser as Galaxy Z Flip allows the users to make use of the flip screen as a desktop. The new update is available to download from the Google Play Store.

Surprisingly, the update has been available on the Play Store since July 30. But Samsung updated the changelog recently, which reflects these changes.
