Samsung Sends Out Invites For Unpacked Part 2

It’s not often that Samsung has to break up its Unpacked event into two separate events, but that happened this year. And now, Samsung is sending out invites for its virtual Unpacked Part 2 event.

This event is taking place on September 1, and this is where the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be announced, as Samsung told us back at Unpacked earlier this month. We also know that pre-orders will start that same day.

Unpacked Part 2 will take place starting at 10AM ET on September 1 (that’s 7AM ET for those on the west coast).

What are we expecting from Unpacked Part 2?

The big star of the show is going to be the Galaxy Z Fold 2, as we can tell by the invite. We also know it is going to be announced then, as Samsung told the world as much when the Galaxy Note 20 was announced.

At the first Unpacked, Samsung gave us a teaser about the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and now we’re waiting on the official announcement to see how many changes Samsung made to this device. But by the looks of things, it looks to be pretty impressive.

With the front display now being all screen, without big chunky bezels like the original. Both screens are now Infinity-O, which means they are hole punch displays. It’ll also be a 5G device, which means the Snapdragon 865 (hopefully 865+) is inside.

But the real changes will be with software, which Samsung has not talked much about just yet. We’ll hear more about that on Tuesday.

Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S7 series could make another appearance at the Samsung Unpacked Part 2. As Samsung did not give us any availability dates for the tablets at Unpacked. But we do know everything else about those tablets, so it’ll likely just be a “and here’s when the Galaxy Tab S7 will go on sale.”

How can I watch the live stream?

Samsung, like it has done for every event for the past many years, will be live streaming the event. And this year, it kind of has to, as it can’t have an audience in attendance. You’ll be able to watch the stream here.

It’ll be available on YouTube closer to September 1, and you can of course watch it after it has happened too. If you don’t have a chance to watch it live.

It’s bound to be another exciting day in the world of Samsung, and we can’t wait to see the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on September 1.
