The Ulefone Armor 8 5G is coming, the company has confirmed. Ulefone also said that this will become the world’s first 5G rugged smartphone, and that’s easily possible.
The company even released an official promo video on YouTube to promote the arrival of this handset. The video itself has a duration of around 40 seconds, and it shows the phone in action.
To be more specific, it shows Speedtest by Ookla app on the phone, which measures internet speeds. The phone managed to hit 443 Mbps / 114 Mbps download / upload speeds in this video.
The Ulefone Armor 8 5G is coming with the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC
Ulefone says that it firmly believes 5G will change a lot of things moving forward. The Ulefone Armor 8 5G is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC.
On top of that, the phone will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 6.7-inch fullHD+ display will also be included, and it will feature a waterdrop display notch.
You can clearly see that the phone will essentially look like the regular Armor 8. It will come with an upgraded set of specs, as the regular model comes with the Helio P60 SoC. It also offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The phone will be made out of metal for the most part, though it will be reinforced on the sides, the same as its sibling. Its bezels will not exactly by razor-thin, though that is to be expected considering this is a rugged phone.
On the back, the phone will probably include the same camera setup as its sibling. That means you can expect to see three cameras back there, 16, 5, and 2-megapixel units.
A 5,580mAh battery will likely be included on the inside
A 5,580mAh battery sits inside the regular Ulefone Armor 8, and it’s possible that its sibling will include that very same battery. Considering its SoC, and display, that battery should be more than enough to handle 5G.
Some of you are probably wondering how much will this phone cost, right? Well, Ulefone did not reveal that piece of information just yet.
The Ulefone Armor 8 costs $139.99, and it is currently available via AliExpress. If you don’t need 5G, and want a budget rugged smartphone, that device is probably a good call.
That being said, the Ulefone Armor 8 5G will be more expensive. We’re not sure how much exactly will it cost, but it will cost more than its sibling. Don’t expect a high price tag, though, as that will also be a budget phone.
