A video has recently leaked about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 which seems to answer all of your burning questions about the device.
The only issue, for most who want to watch the video, is that it’s in Chinese. That being said it’s still possible to glean some information about the device. Mostly about the design, but you still get more of a look at the phone than what Samsung showed off at its Unpacked event back on August 5.
There are also a few key details that aren’t necessarily in Chinese that are visible throughout the video as well. Like the storage space and benchmark scores from AnTuTu.
Questions about the storage on the Galaxy Z Fold 2? This video has you covered
Based on this video which you can view below, at least for this particular model of the phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes in a 256GB storage variant. Of which about 157GB is free.
In the video (via SamMobile) it’s being compared to the original Samsung Galaxy Fold that comes with double that storage amount at 512GB. It seems that Samsung felt most people didn’t need that much storage on the phone. And has knocked things down a little bit with this model.
The video also compares the audio on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 with the audio on a number of different devices. Such as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the Huawei mate 30 Pro, and again the Galaxy Fold.
Take a peek at the camera in action
If you’re curious to see a little bit of the camera in action you’ll get that in this video. There’s a brief shot where the reviewer tests the device’s max zoom.
It zooms in quite a lot. And although you don’t get to see any results from the camera after zooming in that much you do get to see zoom in general. There’s also a little bit of focus on the video recording aspects.
Part of the review also touches on the new Flex UI that Samsung is using in this device. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is scheduled to go on sale later this year. But so far Samsung hasn’t shared any specific dates for a release. It will be sharing more about the device on September 1 however.
It will also open up pre-orders on the same day. So the official launch of the device isn’t likely to be too far behind that.
