Custom Good Lock live wallpapers are now a thing, thanks to yet another addition to Samsung’s Android theming app. Simply called Wonderland, the Good Lock plugin is now available for download from the Galaxy Store in some regions. “Some,” because while it already expanded beyond its debut market of South Korea, its current rollout status is unclear.
If you aren’t seeing Wonderland on your localized Galaxy Store version, you can still sideload it onto your device. The vanilla release of the app carries build number 1.0.20.2 and has steadily available mirrors. Here’s one that carries Samsung’s digital signature, which allows us to verify it hasn’t been tampered with. Before you’re able to sideload it, you’ll have to enable APK installations from “unknown sources” in your device settings. Recent Android versions make a big deal out of this, but it really isn’t. Assuming you’re only sideloading APKs from trusted sources, of course.

Today’s development continues Good Lock’s track record that’s pretty much a tradition at this point. The said Android UI launched way back in early 2016, originally debuting as a Galaxy S7 series exclusive. Samsung then quickly expanded its availability to older models and from that point, the updates just never stopped coming. Well, save for a brief period in 2018 while the Galaxy portfolio was transitioning to Android 7.0 Nougat.
In case you’re unfamiliar with Good Lock and consider yourself a smartphone power user, it’s time to get acquainted. Good Lock is a modular Android app designed to deliver a granular user experience on modern Galaxy devices. It lets you customize One UI elements such as the Quick Settings panel and the Recent Apps menu. A user-adjusted multi-window experience is part of the package, as well, together with robust notification controls. “Robust” relative to the vanilla Android experience, that is.
As of this February, Good Lock also supports Samsung’s custom implementation of Android 10, One UI 2.x. The platform’s longevity is likely a result of its modular nature. Meaning Samsung is releasing individual features as separate service downloads, much like Wonderland debuted earlier this week. This allows the company to separate Good Lock’s feature development from regular maintenance, streamlining its continued evolution. And as things stand right now, Good Lock will have a place in Android 11-based One UI 3.0, as well.
