Google Pixel 4a 5G Design Shown In Seemingly-Official Images

The Google Pixel 4a 5G design has just surfaced in seemingly-official images, both renders, and lifestyle shots. These images have been shared by a UK retailer, John Lewis, and spotted by 9to5Google.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G design revealed ahead of time

Now, these seem to be official images of the device, as John Lewis seems to have jumped the gun. These images were actually listed along with the Pixel 4a listing, so there has been a mixup of sorts, it seems.

In any case, as you can see, the Google Pixel 4a 5G will resemble the Pixel 4a quite a bit. In fact, it would be very easy to mix them up if you don’t look carefully.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G will be larger than the Pixel 4a, while it will also include two cameras on the back, and not one. What’s also a dead giveaway when it comes to these renders, is the wallpaper used here.

That wallpaper has appeared on the Google Pixel 5 as well. You’ll also notice a 5G icon in the status bar in one of the images. This phone will be made out of plastic, just like the Pixel 4a.

The phone’s rear camera setup will protrude a bit, while a fingerprint scanner will be placed back there as well. The power / lock button will be placed on the right, along with the volume up and down keys.

The device will feature a flat display, with a hole in the top-left corner

The Pixel 4a 5G will feature a flat display. A display camera hole will be placed in the top-left corner, while its bezels will be fairly minimal. Google’s branding is also visible on the back of the phone.

The Google Pixel 4a 5G did surface over at Geekbench recently, while its specs got shared by a tipster as well. The phone will feature an audio jack up top, in case you were wondering.

The phone will feature a 6.2-inch fullHD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate. 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM will be included in the package, along with 128GB of internal storage.

The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 765G 64-bit octa-core SoC, just like the Pixel 5. Android 11 will come pre-installed on the device, while Bluetooth 5.0 will be supported.

A 3,800mAh battery will be a part of the package, and it will not be removable. You will be able to charge this phone with the included 18W fast charger, though you won’t be able to go faster than that. Wireless charging is also not supported, it seems.

The Pixel 4a 5G will feature stereo speakers, though, along with three cameras overall. A 12.2-megapixel main camera (f/1.7 aperture lens, 1.4um pixel size, OIS; EIS) will be helped by a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture lens, 1.0um pixel size) on the back.

A single 8-megapixel unit (f/2.0 aperture lens, 1.12um pixel size, fixed focus) will sit on the front side of the device. The phone will measure 153.9 x 74 x 8.2mm, and weight 168 grams.
