In early August, Samsung launched its new Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch alongside the Galaxy Note 20 smartphones. Now, the company announced a new variant called Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Titan in Germany. Instead of using stainless steel casing like the standard Galaxy Watch 3, the new Galaxy Watch 3 Titan comes with a titanium casing.
Moreover, it will be available in 45mm size and that too with only Bluetooth support. Hence, there will be no LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch 3 Titan. It comes only in the titanium Gray (also mentioned as Mystic Black) color option and is priced at €632.64. FYI, the same 45mm Galaxy Watch 3 with stainless steel casing is currently retailing for €447.

For that extra price, the company is also offering stainless steel bracelet instead of a leather strap. Apart from being stronger and lightweight, the titanium also looks premium with a shiny finish.
Compared to the standard Galaxy Watch 3 that weighs 53.8g, the new Galaxy Watch 3 Titan encased in titanium certainly feels lightweight by weighing just 43g. Even Apple started offering the titanium case option for the first time with last year’s Apple Watch Series 5 Edition.
However, Samsung has opted for the same Gorilla Glass DX for display protection. Whereas, Apple used Sapphire glass in its titanium Apple Watch. Speaking of the internal, they remain the same as on the regular Galaxy Watch 3. It sports a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 360 by 360 pixels resolution and always-on display support.
It weighs 10 grams lesser than the stainless steel variant
There is also a rotating bezel for navigating through the UI. It packs a dual-core Exynos 9110 chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Samsung uses its own Tizen-based Wearable OS for its smartwatches.
The Galaxy Watch 3 Titan is IP68 certified for water resistance up to 5ATM and MIL-STD 810G certified for durability. Apart from all the regular sensor, it now also includes the ECG sensor. It works with devices running Android 5.0 or above with at least 1.5GB of RAM and iPhone 5 or above running on at least iOS 9.
In Germany, the all-new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Titan will be available starting September 18. Along with the Galaxy Watch 3 Titan, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Fit 2 fitness tracker priced at just €47.76. It is mentioned to be available from October 2. The company is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of both these new wearables for other markets.
