OnePlus will unveil the latest OnePlus 8T during its virtual event scheduled for October 14. A week ahead of the launch, the company has officially revealed the rear design of the OnePlus 8T. In the video posted on YouTube, the OnePlus 8T with the glossy back can be spotted in Aquamarine Green color.
The device looks exactly like the leaked renders suggested. While the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones came with a center-aligned rear camera setup, the upcoming OnePlus 8T looks more like the Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphones. The large rectangular camera housing in the top left corner features a total of four camera sensors.
OnePlus showcases OnePlus 8T in Aquamarine Green color ahead of launch
The power button and the alert slider are located on the right edge of the device. Obviously, the volume rocker should be on the other side. According to the company, the glossy back cover for the new Aquamarine Green color turns the shade between green and blue at different angles.
OnePlus has finalized the current iteration after testing out various colors, materials, and finishes for over four months. While the company is using a flat panel display on the front, the back of the device has slightly curved edges that allow for better grip. As of now, the company hasn’t yet revealed the other color options of the OnePlus 8T smartphone.
Still, the company should have gone with the matte finish offered with the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus 8T users will probably have to live with the smudges and fingerprints on the glossy back. The primary camera on the smartphone will feature a 48MP sensor and supports optical image stabilization (OIS).
It runs on Android 11 out of the box
OnePlus has already confirmed that the device will run on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 out of the box. This new UI also looks similar to Samsung’s One UI. With the OnePlus 8T, OnePlus is also debuting the all-new Warp Charge 65 fast charging technology.
The company claims the 4,500mAh battery on this device can fully charge in just 39 minutes. Under the hood, it will come packed with the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro also feature the same chipset.
Since there is no Pro variant this time around, the company is rumored to be skipping the plus variant of the flagship Snapdragon chipset. Along with the OnePlus 8T, the company will also launch a new pair of TWS earbuds.
