The OnePlus 8T is expected to be taller, wider, and thicker than the OnePlus 8. This information comes from @OnLeaks, as he shared the information via Twitter.
As most of you know, the OnePlus 8T CAD-based renders that surfaced came from the same source. The dimensions of the OnePlus 8T were not mentioned back then, but the source did reveal them now.
The OnePlus 8T will be taller, wider & thicker than the OnePlus 8, its dimensions reveal
The OnePlus 8T is expected to measure roughly 162.8 x 75.5 x 8.4mm (9.4mm including the rear camera bump). In comparison, the OnePlus 8 measures 160.2 x 72.9 x 8mm.
This is not actually that surprising as the OnePlus 8T includes a flat display, even though it has the same display size as the OnePlus 8. This is not a huge difference, but it’s sure something you’ll notice when you use the device.
The 3mm difference in width is especially something that can be noticed, if you’ve used a narrower device. Now, if we compare these dimensions to the OnePlus 8 Pro, the story is a bit different.
The OnePlus 8 Pro features a larger 6.78-inch display, which is curved. The 8 Pro will be taller and thicker than the OnePlus 8T, it seems, but it will be narrower.
The OnePlus 8T, as most of you know, will become official on October 14. The device is expected to arrive alongside several other OnePlus devices, by the way.
OnePlus is tipped to announce a bunch of additional products. The OnePlus Buds Z are expected to launch, as well as the OnePlus Watch. The OnePlus Power Bank is also rumored, as are some Nord smartphones.
Those Nord smartphones may not arrive during the same event, though. OnePlus probably wants to keep all the focus on the OnePlus 8T, when it comes to smartphone announcements.
The phone will include a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 865 & more
The OnePlus 8T will be made out of metal and glass, just like its siblings. The device will include the same rear camera (the main one) as the OnePlus 8. It will include a 6.55-inch fullHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
The device is expected to ship in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, while Android 11 will come pre-installed. OnePlus’ new OxygenOS version will come pre-installed on the device, OxygenOS 11.
The device will support fast charging, 65W fast wired charging, to be exact. Wireless charging won’t be a part of the package, if rumors are to be believed. The phone will also offer stereo speakers, and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. 5G will be supported, and two SIM card slots will be included. Check out our preview for more information.
