Samsung To Offer Special Galaxy S21 Ultra Cases To Store The S Pen

There have been rumors that the upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra will offer S Pen support. However, the device will not have a slot to keep the stylus, suggesting that S Pen for S21 Ultra would come as an optional add-on. Now, the folks over at WinFuture.de confirm the news saying Samsung plans to release special cases that come bundled with the stylus and can also store it.

According to the report, Samsung is preparing special versions of the official Silicone Cover and the Clear View Cover for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Both these optional accessories will feature slots to keep the S Pen. Samsung will, in fact, offer these special cases bundled with the stylus.

Normal versions without S Pen slots of both Silicone Cover and the Clear View Cover will also be available, giving customers of the Galaxy S21 Ultra enough choices when it comes to add-on accessories. This will also give Samsung an idea about the demand for S Pen among Galaxy S series users.

Samsung is reportedly mulling discontinuing the Galaxy Note series next year, or at latest by 2022. Since the S Pen has been one of the main features of the Note series and is the primary reason for many customers to buy Galaxy Note phones, the Korean company now wants to offer the same functionality in the Galaxy S series as well.

The Galaxy S21 series will mark the beginning of this change. If the S Pen sees enough demand, Samsung will likely offer a slot to house it in the device itself starting with next year’s model. That’s if it’s indeed discontinuing the Galaxy Note series though.

Samsung will offer S Pen bundled with special Galaxy S21 Ultra official cases

Samsung is all set to take wraps off the Galaxy S21 series in about a month from now. We’ll see three models, namely Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, as part of the Korean giant’s latest flagship offerings. A plethora of leaks and rumors over the past couple of months have already revealed plenty about the devices.

All three Galaxy S21 models are shaping up to be exciting prospects with a few minor differences. However, Samsung is taking the productivity level of the S21 Ultra to new heights by offering S Pen support. Hopefully, the Galaxy Note series will not be missed much going forward.

Samsung has recently, but unofficially, confirmed that the Galaxy S21 series will break cover on January 14, 2021. That’s about a month of wait from now. In the meantime, you can check our regularly updated Galaxy S21 Preview for everything about the upcoming Samsung flagships.
