This Smartphone Comes With Snapdragon 888, 120W Fast Charging & More

An interesting new smartphone got announced in China recently. The smartphone in question is the iQOO 7, and it’s interesting mainly due to its spec sheet and price tag.

Both the Snapdragon 888 & 120W fast charging feature are included in this smartphone

This is the very first smartphone that offers Snapdragon 888 SoC and 120W fast charging combination. That’s not everything it has to offer, though. Before we get to its specs, let’s talk about the design.

The iQOO 7 is exactly what you’d expect out of a 2021 flagship. It includes really thin bezels, though they’re not uniform. The bottom bezel is slightly thicker than the rest. The phone does include a centered display camera hole.

The device is made out of metal and glass. There are three cameras on the back of the phone, and they are arranged in a rather interesting way. An LED flash is located below those cameras. The back side of the phone is curved towards the edges.

The iQOO 7 features a 6.62-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display that is flat. That display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and it supports HDR10+ content. The Snapdragon 888 fuels the device.

The iQOO 7 comes in both 8GB and 12GB RAM flavors

8GB / 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM is also included here, along with 128GB / 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. Android 11 comes pre-installed on the phone, along with OriginOS skin.

The iQOO 7 does offer two SIM card slots, and it ships with a 4,000mAh battery. That battery supports 120W fast wired charging, while wireless charging is not supported, it seems.

An optical in-display fingerprint scanner is also included here. The phone does support 5G connectivity, and it comes with Bluetooth 5.2. Stereo speakers are also included.

A 48-megapixel main camera (f/1.79 aperture, OIS + EIS) is backed by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera (120-degree FoV, f/2.2 aperture). A 13-megapixel portrait camera (f/2.46, OIS, 2x optical zoom, 20x digital zoom) is also included on the back.

A 16-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture) is also a part of the package. The iQOO 7 comes in Blackland, Latent blue, and Legendary Edition in White. The 8GB RAM model is priced at CNY3,798 ($586) in China, while the 12GB RAM model costs CNY4,198 ($647). We’re not sure if the device will reach global markets, we’ll have to wait and see.
