Motorola Nio Leaked Images Show Quad Cameras, Punch Hole Display & More

Back in December 2020, Motorola Nio was spotted on Geekbench listing revealing some key specs about the device. Now, a bunch of leaked images has appeared which gives us more detail about the upcoming Motorola Nio device.

The Geekbench listing highlighted that the upcoming Motorola Nio smartphone will come with 8GB of RAM and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset.

Fast forward to now, the leaked images show that the phone will sport a quad-camera setup. Moreover, the device will come with a dual-punch hole in the display that will house two front-facing cameras.

Motorola has already launched a handful of devices namely, Motorola One 5G Ace, Moto G Stylus, Moto G Play, and Moto G Power at the start of this year.

However, it seems like the company has one more smartphone under its belt. Leaked images of Motorola Nio first came out on Weibo and shared on Voice by Nils Ahrensmeier.

The leaked images of the Motorola Nio show the device in the ‘Sky’ color, which is actually light purple. There is one more color called ‘Beryl’ according to the Voice post.

The live images confirm that the phone comes with dual-SIM support and there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. Motorola Nio, as seen in the images, could sport a flat display with slim bezels.

Motorola Nio live images reveal a 64MP quad-camera setup at the back

Coming to the other details that the live images highlight, the Motorola Nio is spotted with a square camera module on the back. Right below the camera module, you could see ’64MP|Audio Zoom’ keywords written.

This means that the primary camera on the Motorola Nio will be a 64MP camera. Additionally, the device will feature Audio Zoom technology.

Basically, with the help of Audio Zoom, users will be able to focus the audio in a particular direction, while attenuating incoming sounds from other directions.

Besides, there is a picture that showcases the front panel with the Settings menu open. Interestingly, there the device is named “Motorola Edge Plus”. This suggests that the device may be a prototype.

As per the tipster, the device with codename Motorola Nio could be the rumored Motorola Edge S smartphone. A week ago, an official teased the Motorola Edge S smartphone by submitting a post using the same device on Weibo.

The same post also confirmed that the phone will come powered by the Snapdragon 8-series chipset. There is still some confusion whether it will be the Snapdragon 888 or some other 8-series chipset.

All the buttons, including a volume rocker and power button with a fingerprint sensor, are embedded on the right-hand side of the device. Apparently, there seems to be a dedicated Google Assistant button on the right.

Since the leaks are fresh, we would advise our readers to take the information with a pinch of salt.
