The GooglePixel 6 and 6 Pro surfaced in CAD-based renders quite recently. Well, a well-known smartphone concept creator decided to 3D print the (regular) Pixel 6 in order to delve into a size comparison.
The Google Pixel 6 got 3D printed for the purpose of a size comparison
The 3D printed Google Pixel 6 is based on the leaked CAD renders, and the print is far from perfect. The point is, the size of the device should be accurate, and that’s what’s the focus here.
This 3D print got compared to the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in the video provided below. Do note that the print is a bit crooked, as you’ll notice, but it will give you an idea of the phone’s size.
The Google Pixel 6 won’t be a small phone, if the leaks are to be believed. It will have a 6.4-inch display, and its bezels won’t exactly be razor-thin. It will also include a flat display, and will be nearly as wide as the ‘Pro’ variant.
The base model won’t much smaller than the Galaxy S21 Ultra & Mi 11 Ultra
In the provided video, you can see that the device won’t be that much smaller than the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Both of those phones are really large, so… those of you who were expecting to get a compact Pixel flagship this year, you’re out of luck.
We actually published an editorial on that topic as well, in which we talk more about the situation. Google will basically release two large Pixel 6 flagships this year.
The Google Pixel 6 will be slightly shorter and narrower than the Pixel 6 Pro, and will offer the same thickness. Do note that the dimensions shared by CAD-based renders are usually spot on.
The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are expected to arrive in either September or October this year. The Pixel Watch is also expected to launch alongside them, Google’s very first smartwatch.
