The OnePlus Nord 2 rumors have been scarce lately. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G and Nord N200 5G have been in focus. A new rumor just surfaced, however, claiming that the OnePlus Nord 2 will launch next month.
This information comes from Mukul Sharma, a tipster. He claims that “another Nord device” is coming in July, and is guessing that is the OnePlus Nord 2. It does make sense, though it could be the Nord N200 5G instead.
Truth be said, in the general order of things, the OnePlus Nord 2 should launch before the N200 5G. It remains to be seen, though. If this information is accurate, we’ll probably see a number of teasers and leaks of the device soon.
The OnePlus Nord 2 may launch next month with MediaTek’s most powerful SoC
Now, the phone will likely ship with a MediaTek SoC. Several sources said that it will ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, which is the most powerful SoC MediaTek released to date.
That chip is supposed to replace the Snapdragon 765G which is included inside the original OnePlus Nord. The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be considerably more powerful than the Nord CE 5G and Nord N200 5G.
The phone will ship with Android 11 out of the box, with OxygenOS 11 on top of it. We’re expecting fast wired charging to be included, while we’re not sure about wireless charging just yet.
The phone will likely be made out of metal and glass
The device’s design did not leak just yet, but it could soon. The OnePlus Nord 2 will likely be made out of metal and glass, unless OnePlus opts to use plastic on the back. That’s unlikely, though.
We’re expecting to see a flat fullHD+ display with a high refresh rate. A display camera hole will be included, and it will likely be placed in the top-left corner of this panel. An AMOLED display is expected, by the way.
Camera info did not leak yet either, but you can expect several cameras on the back. If we had to guess, we’d say three will be included, but let’s wait and see.
