OnePlus Nord 2 Specs Appear: 50MP Camera, 4,500mAh Battery & More

The OnePlus Nord 2 specs have just surfaced online. A rumor surfaced yesterday claiming that the phone will arrive in July, and now we get to see more information about the device.

This information comes from 91mobiles, who partnered up with OnLeaks. The OnePlus Nord 2 has been rumored to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, and that information was accurate, it seems. The device will sport MediaTek’s flagship SoC.

The OnePlus Nord 2 specs leak reveals 90Hz display, two variants, four cameras & more

The phone will also include a 6.43-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display. That display will offer a 90Hz refresh rate, and below it, the company will include an in-display fingerprint scanner. That will be an optical fingerprint scanner, by the way.

The source also mentions that we’ll get two variants of the phone. The cheaper model will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The more expensive alternative will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In regards to cameras, it will have three of them on the back, and one on the front. A 50-megapixel main camera will be backed by 8 and 2-megapixel shooters, on the back. We still don’t have any details regarding those cameras, though. A 16-megapixel unit will be placed on the front.

A 4,500mAh battery will be included, along with fast charging

A 4,500mAh battery has also been mentioned by the source. Charging details have not been revealed, but it will support fast wired charging, at the very least. We’re expecting at least 30W wired charging to be included.

The 50-megapixel camera on the back could utilize Sony’s IMX766 sensor, the one that is used in the ultra-wide camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro. That hasn’t been confirmed yet, though, nor did the source suggest it will happen.

Android 11 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with OxygenOS 11. More information regarding the OnePlus Nord 2 will likely drop in the near future, as we’re getting closer to the press event.
