Galaxy Z Flip 3 Get Certified By The FCC, Some Details Confirmed

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 got certified by the FCC quite recently, and the same just happened with the Galaxy Z Flip 3. This listing did confirm several tidbits about the device.

First and foremost, let’s just say that it will support Verizon 5G, or so it seems. Several mmWave antenna positions were mentioned in the FCC filing, similar to the Z Flip 5G.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will support MST payments, FCC reveals

On top of that, the Z Flip 3 will support Samsung Pay with MST, based on this listing. That essentially means that you’ll be able to pay with this device even on terminals that don’t have NFC. Speaking of NFC, it will be included, of course.

Now, yesterday we talked about the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It was said that the device will offer UWB (Ultra Wideband) support. Will the same be the case with the Z Flip 3? Well, we can’t say at the moment, but it wasn’t mentioned in the listing.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will launch alongside the Z Fold 3 in early August, based on rumors. Samsung still did not announce its second Unpacked event of the year.

The Z Flip 3 leaked yesterday, courtesy of Evan Blass, which gave us a better look at the phone. It will have a larger rear display this time around, and will look better overall.

It will have two displays, and 8GB of RAM

The device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1.83-inch cover panel. A Snapdragon 800 series chip will fuel the phone, while you can expect to get 8GB of RAM here.

A 3,300mAh battery was mentioned in certifications, while the device is expected to have three cameras overall. Two of them will be placed on the back of the device.

A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also expected, while Android 11 will come pre-installed on the phone, along with Samsung’s One UI skin. Check out our preview article if you’d like to know more about the device.
