AT&T Fusion 5G Brings Next-Gen Network Support Ahead Of CES 2022

AT&T has a brand new self-branded smartphone dubbed the Fusion 5G ready just in time for CES 2022. And, as the branding here might imply, this handset is engineered to bring the best of 5G and respectable specs on a budget. Following on last year’s AT&T RADIANT Max 5G.

What sets AT&T Fusion 5G apart from its competition

Where AT&T Fusion 5G differs from most budget handsets is its support for next-gen networking. Namely, via its support for both AT&T’s sub-6 5G. Of course, the inclusion of HBO Max for customers on AT&T’s Unlimited Elite plan doesn’t hurt either. And neither does the expandable 64GB storage, fingerprint scanner, or unspecified octa-core processor.

AT&T hasn’t detailed too many of this handset’s other specs, as of this writing. But the cameras and display in place here should be top-notch as well. Starting with the 13-megapixel selfie snapper, built into the larger-than-life scratch-resistant 6.82-inch display. That screen is rated with an HD+ resolution, as well.

Around the back of the handset, AT&T Fusion 5G is packed with a quad-camera array, led by a 48-megapixel snapper and dual-LED flash. Popular shooting modes including ultra-wide panoramic and portrait mode are part of that package too.

Finally, AT&T says that wireless charging and quick-charging are part of the bundle. Ensuring that users can get the most out of their device over the course of a day and that refueling is fast, just in case the 4,750mAh battery isn’t enough.

Pricing and availability

In terms of availability, the new AT&T Fusion 5G is presently set to arrive at the company for purchase around the end of CES 2022, from January 7. It won’t cost an arm and a leg either, as hinted above. Instead, the gadget, available solely in a 64GB variant, starts out at just $219.99. With pricing available from $6.12 per month with no trade-in required. And that’s for both new and existing customers.
