Samsung is all set to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, and we’re excited for them. These phones have been leaked over the past couple of months, so there’s not much left to the imagination besides the price. Now, we just got some leaked specs for the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
These Galaxy Z Fold 4 leaks are in line with what we’ve seen
These specs come from WinFuture. At this point, we know just about everything there is to know about this upcoming phone. We know that it’s going to have a design extremely similar to last year’s iteration with some minor hardware tweaks. The overall design aesthetic will be pretty much the same even down to the camera package.
Display
While this is true, the company did make a slight change to the display. This phone will have a slightly wider aspect ratio at 12.6:18. This will be a bit better for people who want something like this. Phones like the Oppo Find N were able to do well with the wider aspect ratio.
In terms of display resolution, the inner display is rumored to have a 2176 x 1812 resolution which is just above 1080p. The 7.6-inch display may have a pixel density of 374 PPI. Also, we’re expecting to see another under-display camera for the inner display.
Internals
While Samsung manufactures its own chips, it looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This is the latest chip from the company, and it will provide flagship-grade performance.
There will be a 128GB storage variant along with a 256GB storage variant as well. What’s new this year is the addition of a 512GB storage variant. Not only that, but this device will cap out at 12GB of RAM.
Cameras
In terms of camera technology, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to see some notable changes. For starters, the camera main camera is expected to have a 50MP camera up from 12MP with the last generation. While there’s a bump in resolution, we can expect the phone to bin down to 12MP.
As for the under-display camera, that’s expected to have a resolution of 4MP. That’s a pretty low Megapixel count, and the fact that it’s under the display only makes it seem worse. As for the ultrawide camera, that’s expected to come in 12MP along with the 10MP telephoto camera.
Since these specs for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 are only leaks, you’ll want to take them with a grain of salt. Samsung is going to officially announce this device on August 10, so there are only two days to wait.
