Foldable iPad may launch in 2024 with carbon fiber kickstand

A well-known Apple tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo, just shared some more information about Apple’s first foldable device. He earlier said that Apple will likely release a foldable iPad before a foldable iPhone comes around. Well, now he says that a foldable iPad will likely arrive in 2024, and that it will feature a foldable kickstand.

A foldable iPad is seemingly coming in 2024 with a carbon fiber kickstand

He did mention 2024 as a possible year of launch before too, but he seems to be rather sure of it now. The tipster also said that a carbon fiber kickstand is a good idea as it will make the kickstand both lighter and more durable at the same time.

In a series of tweets, he also said that “there may be no new iPad releases in the next 9-12 months”, as the next iPad Mini will most likely go into mass production in Q1 2024.

A lot of companies already released their foldable smartphones thus far, and some of them have a number of generations of these foldables. Apple is late, as per usual, but many users are waiting for the Cupertino giant to deliver in that regard.

A foldable iPhone probably won’t launch before 2025

Apple will seemingly test out the interest for foldables with a foldable iPad, and likely follow that up with a foldable iPhone. We’re not really sure when a foldable iPhone will arrive, but it doesn’t seem to be in the company’s plans before 2025.

What Apple users can look forward this year, are the iPhone 15 models. It seems like all of them will feature a Dynamic Island at the top. All of them will also include a Type-C port at the bottom, finally.

Apple seems to be ready to deliver iPhones of the same sizes as last year. So we’ll get four iPhone 15 models, the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Ultra aka Pro Max. We still don’t know what name will Apple opt for the top-of-the-line model.
