OnePlus announces the OnePlus Pad

The BBK-owned company finally took the wraps off of the OnePlus Pad, and it lines up with all of the rumors and leaks we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks. We were wondering what the specs for this tablet were going to be, and now we got them- this tablet is a beast. For starters, this tablet as a metal unibody design, and it comes in the Halo Green color that the OnePlus 11 comes in.

Display

The OnePlus Pad has a large 11.6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 2000. Not only is it sharp, but it runs at 144Hz and it’s compatible with Dolby Vision. This means that you’ll have a great viewing experience. As for brightness, this tablet’s display has a peak brightness of 500 nits.

One thing that’s notable about the display is the aspect ratio. It has a 7:5 aspect ratio. This is what the company calls the ReadFit Screen. OnePlus says that this display is perfect for reading all types of documents and e-books. It’s a rather square ratio, so it might take some getting used to.

Internals

Digging into the internals, the OnePlus Pad is powered by the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9000. MediaTek is usually associated with mid-range and budget devices, but the Dimensity is its flagship line of processors. The Dimensity 9000 is at the top of the pecking order. This is backed up by a respectable 12GB of RAM.

The OnePlus Pad has a set of quad speakers that should deliver a nice audio experience. Also, these speakers are compatible with Dolby Atmos, so that only makes them better.

As for the battery, this tablet comes with a large 9510mAh battery. That’s a decent size for a tablet of this size, and the company promises a full month of standby time. Using 67W Super VOOC charging, you should get almost 90% battery on just a one-hour charge.

We don’t know the price for this device just yet, but we know that you’ll be able to pre-order the OnePlus Pad starting sometime in April.
