Real-life Pixel Fold appears in a short hands-on video

The Google Pixel Fold is coming, and as we’re waiting for the launch event, the device just appeared in a short hands-on video. This video got shared by Kuba Wojciechowski, a well-known tipster, on Twitter.

Real-life Google Pixel Fold has appeared in a short hands-on video

The video itself is shown in a tweet included below this paragraph. As you can see, this is a 6-second clip that shows the phone being folded, and then unfolded again. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see its back side here.

What we do get to see, however, is the phone’s main display, and its cover display. Considering that the main display does turn on when the phone gets unfolded, we can also see those bezels that we were wondering about.

Those bezels were kind of shown in CAD-based renders that surfaced a while back, but this is our first look at them on an actual phone. Some are calling them chunky, while others are complaining about the fact they’re asymmetrical. The top and bottom bezels are thicker than the side bezels.

Thanks to slightly thicker bezels, a display camera hole won’t be present on the inner display

Truth be said, these bezels don’t look all that thick to me, especially considering this is a foldable phone. I do understand why the asymmetry would bother some of you, though. Still, keep in mind that there is no display camera hole on the main display, or anything of the sort. Google plans to stick everything in those bezels, so you’ll get a clear canvas.

The crease is noticeable, though we cannot gather how noticeable it would be due to the shortness of this video. We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s definitely noticeable, which is perfectly normal.

The Pixel Fold includes a side-facing fingerprint scanner, while you can also check out its volume buttons on the side thanks to this video.

The Pixel Fold will become official during Google I/O next month. A ton of info regarding the device surfaced the other day, including some of its specs, colors, and even its price tag. So click here if you’d like to read more about that.
